Bob Dodson has worked in the banking industry his entire career. He worked part time for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas for two years while attending SMU. Upon graduation with an economics degree from SMU, he accepted a full-time offer from the Fed and completed its management training program after which he took a job with a commercial bank in Dallas before moving his family to Houston. He became the youngest bank president in Downtown Houston at the age of 31. He served as president of three successful national banks before leaving commercial banking in 1989. Since 1989 he has continuously provided contract management and consulting services to regional banks, the RTC and FDIC. Under these contracts, he has managed the liquidation of receiverships aggregating over $6.0 billion. The most recent contract successfully completed was the Receivership of the $1.1 billion Southern Pacific Bank of Los Angeles.
Presently, Bob serves as President of Quantum Financial Group in Houston which provides consulting services to banks and the FDIC.
Bob and his wife Ann have raised four boys. Three of them have graduated Phi Beta Kappa and the youngest is on the Dean’s list at the University of Arizona. They have resided in Hunters Creek since 1993. Bob currently serves as City Treasurer of Hunters Creek Village. He also is a volunteer on Mayor White’s VIP project devoting his free time to various City of Houston departments.
