David Cameron used the phrase 'Like a damp squib' to refer to the public sector strike today. How many people actually know what this means? It is often misquoted as 'like a damp squid' to make it even worse. I would like to think I am quite well educated but I had to check this phrase on google as I misheard it initially.

How many people will this alienate and put him back in the toff category? By the way I am a tribal tory and a David Cameron fan.
