Yes! This is the working edge - main stream politics has to catch up, grow, come up to speed- in Its world view AND its capacity for interactive action...

1. new forms of conversation- this could be in the form of internet nodes and community/conversational blogs and al gore's movie as well (this is really interesting)... mass media is "fast", wide and shallow... (perfect for some things - especially media bombs!) .... and new language as well... new symbols that define perspective, view and reality....

2. but not only conversation/view... action as well- the record/past of course, but what is "doing" right now? We can work and wait and wait and wait, the future, the future, "waiting nourishment" which is good and has its time... to elect the right "representative" we hope will do the right thing - in the future sometime soon... , but what about our personal and collective action now- and candidates' action as well... let's see some signs - more than words.... let's see some work now- creative new possibilities forming into realities... candidates can (like al gore and jimmy carter) use their energies in wonderful and effective ways- we have talked about this and a plus to this action would be the buzz... - generating even more response... maybe getting elected is not even the thing...

the emerging demographic of the 2nd baby boom is oriented so differently... I am loving it! ... it's getting creative- generating the vision of the new world - the current expressions of the good the true and the beautiful... AND developing new streams to channel the energies and actualize the dreams...

Well said. Americans, particularly, have grown lazy (somewhat according to the designs of their leaders). We expect things to be done for us. Taking positive, creative action puts the power in our own hands. There are many ways to impact the system - begging candidates is only one, and an increasingly ineffective one. --Slije 22:31, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
