Forum:Get The Oil Out
From Campaigns Wikia
Neither the United States nor any other country can be a sovereign nation if we all rely on foreign energy resources to survive. Currently, our economy cannot work without a constant influx of foreign oil. Our defenses rely on an uninterrupted flow of oil to keep our equipment and factories running. And yet, the main providers of oil are arguably some of the most unstable countries in the world and certainly an area of the world that does not necessarily think very highly of the Unites States of America.
Many technologies, hydrogen fuel cells included, are promising but are still years or decades down the road. Until then, the lower and middle classes of the US are made to carry the heaviest burden with ballooning oil prices and dwindling supply. Much time is wasted debating whether we should explore and drill the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) for domestic sources of oil when we could be working toward a future proof solution.
As frustrating as these arguments can be, they pale in comparison to having the knowledge that a solution may already be available but is not receiving any media coverage and does not have what is referred to as mind-share. While the major corporations are pushing hydrogen fuel cells and even the President is pushing for a hydrogen economy, we may have the technology already in existence to provide energy independence.
[edit] Pass It On
With ever escalating gasoline prices and not relief in sight, the grassroots effort to "Get The Oil Out" was born. Any form of media is encouraged, with pamphlets and magnet cards already being used. The magnets are being placed on pumps at local gas stations to put the information right at the point where consumers are going to be most upset.
Gallon of Gas $3.05
Profits Last Quarter 10.4 BILLION
Knowing there is an alternative PRICELESS
- Recycles waste (sewage, municipal, agricultural)
- Cost competitive at $20 per barrel
- Freedom from foreign oil
- http://campaigns.wikia.com/wiki/Get_The_Oil_Out
Please target your information to the parent oil companies involved by using the following reported proft results.
- Exxon Mobil - 10.4 Billion
- Chevron - 4.35 Billion
- BP - 7.27 Billion
- Royal Dutch Shell - 6.9 Billion
- ConocoPhillips - 5.19 Billion
And perhaps most importantly, after you have come here and learned of the alternative, you must pass the knowledge on. If you found a magnet, put it on another gas pump. If you have a pamphlet, give it to someone else. Also, let us know where you find things so others can find them as well.
