My name is Rob J. King. I am a liberal conservative. OR I am a conservative liberal!

It is hard to classify Truth. Like Nelson Mandela, a product of a Methodist college education who was imprisoned for almost three decades of his life only to emerge as the first duly elected President of the New, Free South Africa, I also defy the characterizations of political pundits.

Is abortion 'liberal or conservative'? I would argue for a ban on All abortions, but (ironically enough) from a LIBERAL perspective! I seek to safeguard the elderly from being enslaved in a social system of exclusion (that is placing our parents and grandparents in nursing homes, rather than caring for our very own family members). I seek to safeguard the mentally handi-capped from similar exclusionary practices. Finally, I seek to safeguard innocent lives who are brutually murdered by mommies and daddies who are deceived into believing that stopping the beating heart of their child will somehow 'make the problem go away' (only to produce later adult trauma as the guilt settles in . . .)

Similarly, is economics best solved by the 'left' or by the 'right'? Again, it depends. Fascism is a tight control of thought which can allow for great economic prosperity (look at Hitler's Germany and how productive it was), but at what cost? Communism, although officially 'left' on the political spectrum is also a similar human rights abuse disaster just waiting to happen as all free speech is monitored and any dissent squelched. Squelched by imprisonment, Squelched by fines. Squelched by execution even.

So, how can 'liberals' and 'conservatives' work together? How can the elderly, the mentally handi-capped, the babies in utero all be safeguarded by government and not allowed to be harmed in any way? This, as you see is neither 'liberal' nor 'conservative,' but rather a pressing moral issue.

For a different way, a way based upon the natural law thought of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and of Gandhi, two men who through committed social disobedience changed unjust laws, please consider the possibility of the best of liberalism and the best of conservatism WORKING together, rather than apart. Usually, the TV networks dredge up the WORST of each political party, NOT the best, whether it is the anti-Hispanic paranoia on the Right (Mitt Romney) or the pro-abortion feminist ideology on the Left, the mass media is defiling rather than helping.
