I have a feeling this will focus mainly on US-centric topics. How can we encompass global politics if most of the participants will be best versed in the US political spectrum (or is this a bad assumption to make?).

Should we split off sub-sections into political debates by country (or region), or should we split up by topics? Or both?

Pages about current elections and such obviously need to be about specific places, but pages about more general issues, such as Same-sex Marriage should be universal, and will benefit from diverse input. Information about current laws and upcoming legislation on the topic should probably be put into a section of the article that divides regions appropriately, but they should still be on the same page so that readers will see how the issue is being handled globally.

I see no reason for the site to be US centric, nor that most participants will be best versed in the US political spectrum. :) We should proceed always with a global mindset, I think.--Jimbo Wales 02:44, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I just created a page where people can volunteer to translate the home page and kick off foreign language versions at http://campaigns.wikia.com/wiki/Volunteer --Gil 05:20, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
