Big hand to you there, Littlelady. The site looks good and relatively simple to navigate. Thanks.MakharramKhan 17:18, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

If you want to discuss an actual campaign where a wiki is used to work on policy, strategize in open forum, or see what needs to be done, refer to Pete Ashdown's wiki http://peteashdown.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Ashdown is running for U.S. Senate in Utah against Orrin Hatch. He set up his campaign wiki in November of 2005. Littlelady 09:24, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Well, I was thinking more about political action, in specific election campaigns around the USA, as I believe you were Swymerwsu. Let's take as an example Jim Webb's campaign for Senate in Virginia. I'd have a simple page, with a listing of the hundred political jurisdictions in VA, with the contact person to see(and telly or Emaily to contact this person). In most cases this would be the Democratic Party county or city charman)

On the position paper side people could Analyze Webb's record; the incumbent George Allen's record, on other pages.

This is pretty straight forward conventional thinking.MakharramKhan 21:04, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

While this forum seems to be a beneficial concept, I'd agree with the conversation thread below stating skepticism that the debate of ideas on this website can actually influence votes. I'd love to break down the implications of the left leaning farther their way that Joe Liberman in CT or the right leaning left on Conrad Burns in MT. How about the actual performance of the Governor of WA since that crazy election?

The mission for the site references the posting and discussion of campaign commercials and the detailed debate of the policies of candidates. I think using names and races is the best way to focus energy.

I agree completely. I was starting a sandbox page for Marty Meehan to see how a page might develop, since he represents my district and is running, to this point, unopposed. But if I liked the looks of what happened there I was thinking about trying to push a campaign page for a candidate for Massachusetts Governor, which is an actual race, even in the primary stages. I also was interested in what a campaign might look like that was just for an issue, so I started a page Campaign To Privatize Marriage. It's all very empty at the moment, but I'm fascinated to watch things develop.
