- Joseph R. Biden, Jr is the Senior Senator from Delaware. He is a member of the Democratic Party. He is a candidate for the Democratic Party Presidential Nomination in 2008.
Joe Biden was first elected to the Senate at the age of 29. Senator Biden currently sits on two Senate committees: the Foreign Relations Committee and the Judiciary Committee. He is the ranking Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee and has served as chairman of both the Foreign Relations Committee and the Judiciary Committee. He is also a member of the Senate's Drug Caucus.
