R2I | Amendment | Act Edit

Recall, Referendum, and Initiative is a proposed law inspired by The Democracy Foundation creating, for the first time, a government "by us, the people."

The Recall, Referendum, and Initiative includes a constitutional amendment and a federal statute that equips the people with the central powers of government: recall of errant executives, legislators, and judges, and their appointees; the power to reject legislation and/or treaties undertaken by their representatives; and lawmaking on our own initititive. As such, R2I allows the people in every government jurisdiction of the United States to become the ultimate check in our system of checks and balances and to control the abuses of government. Representative government remains unaltered except for the partnership established between the people and their elected legislators.
