Talk:Evolution v. Creationism

From Campaigns Wikia

It has been suggested that this article be merged into Talk:Theories on Origins: Evolution and Creationism (Intelligent Design). Please discuss this on this talk page.

Given that this page is likely to spark some major debate, let me try to propose some ground rules:

  • Please do not edit in the issue summary area where you disagree. (I think two of us already broke this rule to get the Creationism section moving, but I tried to be fair. Please feel free to make appropriate changes.)
  • Any edits that are made in the summary sections should be supported by sources. If you have a conflicting source, please post it in the discussion section. Maybe we should allow a "link to rebuttal"?
  • Obviously, try to keep the debate polite and civilized. --Jafree 22:08, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Suggested revision

I don't think that the title of the section "Unobservable, and without scientific evidence" is entirely accurate. As I understand it, there is strong scientific evidence for all three of the statements included. If anyone needs me to research this, please say so... but I propose that the section at least be renamed "Not Directly Observable"; a more extensive rewrite of the whole "Evolution" section may be in order, as the present overview sounds deliberately written to sound weak. --Woozalia 15:17, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Duplicate Article

We need to either merge "Evolution and Intelligent Design" with "Evolution v. Creationism" or vice versa. Ender.krum 21:33, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Good call. Please add the merge-to/merge-from templates as appropriate, and we'll give it a week, then make it happen. Or you can be bold! Chadlupkes 21:52, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
Merged: Evolution and Intelligent Design with Evolution v. Creationism under the new title Theories on Origins: Evolution and Creationism (Intelligent Design).
