[edit] This article is shaping up!
This article is looking great! The additional pictures and info are terrific. I was wondering...should we switch the two YouTube videos around? (i.e., the Eisenhower video & the CNN interview?) Though we have a Video section for Mike Gravel, my reasoning for originally adding a video to the main article was to post the latest video on Gravel. Whenever a new one came out, I'd replace the old with the new. This way, people could keep "up-to-date" with what's going on with the Senator. Not to mention, I think the "Eisenhower's Warning" video might go fairly well with the text that's currently next to the CNN video. Thoughts? Jaywin 11:07, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- I think that Eisenhower's Farewell Address should go on a separate page. And whenever you switch the video on Gravel's front page, be sure to put the video that was removed on the Videos page. Chadlupkes 13:40, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
Other than making the page look a bit nicer, my reason for posting the Eisenhower's Warning video was that I saw it as being one of the best videos for introducing Gravel. It really does a good job explaining his basic beliefs about foreign policy and militarism, so, while the CNN video is good, I saw the Eisenhower video as being more "definitive" of who Gravel is and what he stands for. Retrospectively, the National Initiative video was a better candidate, because he considers it his most important issue plus the video is shorter and more to the point, making it more likely to attract viewers. I do understand Jaywin's point, however, so I created a compromise that I think works very well. I left the NI video at the top of the page since it's a good introduction and I created a latest video section and relocated the CNN video to it. Tell me what you think.
On a seperate note, the link to the Pentagon Papers video doesn't work correctly. I know that the url is correct, so I'm not sure what the problem is. If anyone can figure it out, please fix it!
