[edit] Rarely Used?
I disagree that the word propaganda has been 'rarely used.' I've heard it used all the time in political discourse, though usually as propaganda. The word is great because it has a lot of negative imagery from a sinister bygone era, so it's effective as a tool to discredit another argument. I'm not saying it isn't real or that it's not important. I just think it is indeed used a lot, and maybe has lost some power because of it. -- Ferguson 20:07, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Do we want specific propaganda issues on this page?
I've started a couple of pages that went nowhere on the World War III hype and continuing claims of Iraqi WMD. Would it be worthwhile to adapt these for inclusion on this page? Deadplanet 04:01, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- I'd probably just put them in a "See also" section, if not add a paragraph mentioning those issues and linking to the pages. --whosawhatsis? 04:08, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Organization
Does it make sense to have a category for "Position Statements" like this? --CocoaZen 19:40, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- If it is stating one position and not open to the addition of others, it is 1POV, and is required to use the 1POV template, which puts it into. However, at this point, I believe this one is open to opposition, so it is not 1POV. --whosawhatsis? 21:13, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
