I'm president of ActBlue, which enables anyone — individuals, local groups, and national organizations — fundraise online for the Democratic campaigns of their choice. So, yes, I have some opinions.

It's in vogue to equate political leanings with "bias", and it's just one step more to dismiss arguments of those with political leanings as not credible. This kind of thinking gets us nowhere.

People with passionate views can argue in good faith, and I believe partisans can put forward objective, rational arguments. But such discussion can thrive only if intellectual dishonesty, distortion, and deception get called out.
